Bennett's Blessing

This is a catch up from the last month or so. It has been quiet a month and the adjusting to two kids is going well. I wish I could say Bennett is sleeping more in the night, but it still is about every three hours. I guess that's normal and will change soon enough. He is awake more in the day but not less in the night. When he's awake he wants to be held and loved - alawys a part of the party. It's sort of exhausting, but I'm not complaining because Blake wasn't much of a cuddly baby and I really missed that. Blake spends a lot of time playing with his animals and groups them into a family of four. It started with the lions- he has a Joshua, Natalie, Blake and Bennett lion. Now he has a dinosaur, dog, and fire truck family, all with four of each and named like our family. It's so cute how he has them talk and play with each other.

Bennett's blessing went wonderful. He was an angel and slept right through it. We were really blessed to have so much family there, with a lot of Josh's family from Utah adding to my family that lives here.

Rich Family Member #4

Welcome, Welcome Baby Bennett. Bennett came to our family October 19th, weighed 7-12lbs, 201/2 inches long, and completely healthy. He has been a good sleeper and a good eater. Our little apartment has become really small. The nights haven't been too unbearable. He wakes up every 3-4 hours, but usually goes right back to sleep, and if he doesn't then I wake up Josh. I think deep down Josh really enjoys this special time with just him and the baby. Blake has nothing but good things to say about his little brother. He'll come over to him and say, "Oh, cute baby!" and loves giving him kisses. Also, all of his toy animals have to give Bennett kisses too. We just have to watch closely to make sure he doesn't love him too much.
